I beg to differ, it's pretty average actually !

Kindly email [email protected] so that we can take a look.

Capped receives priority all round and is not subject to shaping

my account is slow as hell. just a normal 10gb capped account those ones for R49.

Its quite sad actually, when I first got it, it was awesome.

Any Diablo 3 players having hectic speed issues? Currently latency stays above 1000

Yes, I think I may have started this whole problem for everyone around a week ago when i was getting continuous 2.4k MS latency on diablo 3 on my 4 meg gamers king. so I switch over to my free 1 gig afrihost acc (which everyone here has for testing, right ?) and it is perfect. 180 - 220 ms and stable, switch back to OW and its 1.7k - 2.4k ms so I talk to Leon at support, he has helped me through many issues in the past and he says that if I get him some IP addresses for Diablo 3 they can add it to high priority, great right, not so easy to find the info but on various forums and through netstats and on blizzards website I get some IPs and give them to OW which they have since added and it hasn't helped much, now I assume it either works or it does not But I hope adding those addresses has in no way impacted anyone's performance in a negative way. They kindly provided me with an account that uses diff protocols to test and it worked perfectly for about two days and then slowed down dramatically to the extent that I had to switch back to my standard net.

I do not think this issue is resolved and it would be really helpful if all D3 players on various openweb accounts helped out with testing so we can all enjoy the game and stop wasting Leon and Keoma's Time. I know I have written way more emails than i should have, all long, annoying and with screenshots.

Well whatever MrBEEP did I won't complain... able to peak at 630kbyte/sec... no issues here.

As per my PM reply to you, Diablo 3 is still being tested.

We believe most of the game server IPs have now been added to priority. However, as with GW 2, there always seem to be one more.

PATHETIC SERVICE!!! Beginning of January the internet was not working. Called the call centre 3 times and was told I would be called back. Not once did they bother to call me back. I checked on the portal and it was saying I did not have an openweb package. I checked my bank statements and was not debited so clearly something went wrong. I called again to find out what is going on and again I got NO CALL BACK!! The call centre is useless, they refuse to let you speak to managers and are rude as ****

As per my response on the other thread you created, I have replied to your PM.

Kindly send me the details so that I can investigate

When Leon asked me to give him my World of Warcraft 'Twilight's Hammer" server IPs, I used Peerblocker (normally used in conjunction with p2p) to see which IPs were being used while I logged in and played for a few seconds. After geolocating them all, I gave him a list of all the IPs that were coming from France (where I know my server is). A day later, my pings were much better (this was about a year ago).

It's far more accurate than collecting IPs from forums / websites, in my opinion.

When commenting on rudeness its probably not fair to open with the lines "pathetic service" I am going to assume you yourself are partly to blame in this scenario (in that you may have been rude yourself or lost your temper) , I have in the past had dealings with openweb support and my experience is that at almost any time they respond via email, literally any time its like they never sleep. The call center is not directly connected to them as far as i know and acts as an answering and call forwarding service. The best way to contact them is via email, if you have no connection just send a mail from your phone as most cellphones even the lowest grade has an email function so there is not really an excuse to go off at them in such a manner, they offer a good service at a good price and they go out of their way to help when there is an issue. You say you were not charged for your lack of a connection, so no harm done on that front just the annoyance of not having connectivity.

Since Monday morning, RDP has been unusably slow for me in the day.

DameWare connections to the same location are very responsive so there is no general speed issue at either end.

Has shaping on RDP been particularly servere or is it just me?

I am sorry but from where I come from completely ignoring customers email and call backs is pathetic service. I was not rude at all on the phone and am fully justified in this respect.

Depending on your service level, RDP is shaped as some folks have decided to use this protocol to download massive amounts of data.

If you are on a Gold product, kindly mail us: [email protected] as we do not severly shape RDP here.

Of course, shaping on RDP will ease up as the network quietens down
