This is part of my problem which could have, or should have, been communicated to me earlier today. User name on 'openweb.adsl' domain would not authenticate. Currently using last IS based account on 'openweb.co.za' which I would rather keep. Previous experience with Afrihost on MTN network did not go down well.

However why have a support section on your website, as well as a support 086 number if neither is of any purpose to the client to have issues resolved. I followed the normal route to get support and was ignored and neglected. With proper support your role as a one-man-crusade on these forums to keep the client supported should not be necessary.

So, no internet streaming tonight and tomorrow Openweb will be shaping us to the ground...

Can't even do Internet Banking to pay bills.

^5 to quality service and delivering value for money products
 
I am on Gold, how can I still be shaped every night at friggen 11PM running at only 20-25% of full speed on my downloads?

It never used to be like this :(

Unshaping doesn't cost a lot more than Gold, consider that as an option. I'll personally be moving.
 
Browsing is completely unshaped currently.

All browsing should be super fast. If not, please PM me.

Browsing/streaming only stabilized at 23h00.

From 18h00 - 23h00 I could not stream at all and simple browsing (doing a Google search, trying to access my bank's homepage) either got stuck on loading, loaded incomplete page or simply timed out. On the other hand, NNTP and P2P could reach max capacity.

BTW. It was actually faster watching a YouTube clip via VPN than trying to stream it. I say try because it would either get stuck on the player endlessly loading. I can watch that same clip now without any loading or buffering issues.

Thank you OpenWeb. I wasn't sure if I made the right decision to cancel my account with you this morning, but only being able to download nntp at 75 kb/s tonight at 23:30 showed me that it definitely s the right move. Just a pity that I'm still forced to stay with you for another two months.
 
this is sad. Can't even update games from local STEAM servers. Download speed of 20KB/s on a 10mb line.

i am tempted but no 6mbps package

and dont want to get a 4mbps package

and i dont work in the day as i am at work,so wont really worth it

and i am glad to see OW making business to fit in with wit AH axxess and webafica (price wise)

Cannot do anything on my account, not even able to load a Web page, so happy I've sent my cancellation in before the 25th of this month, now to scrape by with this clearly inferior Gold Uncapped product till then

And that's Gold Original.
