Hi howardb,

Please PM me with your details so that I can have a look at the logs

The OW connection is dropping frequently tonight. My Axxess account is rock solid though... problems OW?

Since getting back from holiday my Openweb has been up to sh11t. Connection went down Thursday got back on Saturday, received new login details & all was fine for a while.
Then its seems to run at full line speed, then it doesn't, as soon as it gets "tested" by support it runs fine for a while & then gets worse.
Is there shaping atm? my nntp traffic runs at half line speed & then drops to almost nothing, this afternoon Diablo ran fine & then all of a sudden 1000-1500ms ping. Login with my Afrihost account & it runs like butter. WTF is going on? If Cableguy or Beep or who ever can pm me with assistance that would be great. would love to have my pre holiday internets back.

PS Cableguy has my details I pm'ed him yesterday & this morning. Maybe new login details might help.

NNTP running at 11KB/s then spiking to 30KB/s, anyone else having this issue?

It seems that your maximum ping is also good. If there are any issues, they most probably lie with your ISP :-(

Dear Openweb
Tonight I experienced the WORST internet I have ever experienced in my life. It is a certainty that I am sharing an account with several other users.

Your "business model" is a load of codswallop. Here we are on a Sunday night, on a supposed "uncapped weekend" and I cannot even watch Youtube because it buffers all the time.

This is not what I am prepared to put up with. I feel I pay a lot of money for internet.

I have given you numerous chances, you simply change my user/pass, the same thing as shifting me around to a different employment within the same company.

There are some very clever people on this forum who can prove the account is shared, yet you remain in denial about it. I am voting with my wallet.
Goodbye

Could you then do a tracert to wherever, then make a note of the 2nd hop ip and ping that like this: (preferably through a lan cable and not wifi)

ping -n 30 ipaddress

then check for consistency.

If there is fluctuation with the ping of more than a few ms, blame telkom, if not blame OW contention/shaping/throttling/Qos or whatever you want to call it.

cableguy = MrBEEP / Keoma.

Not sure they have an office? Maybe others can confirm.

As far as I know, they are based in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban North, and South Coast but unfortunately I do not know where exactly they operate from in each of those locations

Since my last post, still no *** to report. Been able to stream at 720p with very minimal buffering on my 2MB account.

Kindly PM me your cancellations reference number you received when you submitted your notice to [email protected]

I will investigate for you
