OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread (Pt2)

haha funny pic, you guys crack me up. Seriously though I'm also going Koosi's route, I've also been burned by so-called uncapped accounts that suddenly slow to a crawl. So I'm looking for an alternative, if all goes well I'll actually get what I pay for, if not then I'll search for a new ISP. But all sounds good so far, so I'll give them a try.

You guys can take the Cool-aid first :D I'l watch from the wings and partake when I see it's safe to drink.

I just LOVE how twitch streaming is non existent EVERY SINGLE NIGHT on my original gold uncapped unshaped account.
End of next month cant come soon enough.

You shouldn't have issues with an unshaped account, what is your line quality like?

It sure is. Just the way you like, it's impossible that's its original gold. Must be your line. Classic Openweb support reply. ;)

Edit : And yes, I am completely and utterly saying that because you constantly defending Openweb in this thread vs the hundreds of unhappy people :P

No, I'm trying to help somebody with an issue. Is that not allowed here anymore?

He said it's an unshaped account. My shaped account is running at full speed at the moment so an unshaped account shouldn't be having any issues. Which leads me to think there may be something else wrong.

Yes its an innocent reply after you spent your day telling unhappy Openweb subscribers how great openweb is.

I'll continue to support consumers not being done in while they getting told they are a minority, whilst you sing openwebs praises.

I don't think Original Gold Uncapped™ was ever unshaped though? Need to learn your products a little better.

:D

Just kidding. Helping is admirable, but then you must have missed all the OGU™ complaints, among all the others, over the past several months, especially recently.

What the heck is up with the net? Youtube and browsing are fine, but torrents are going at a magical 10 KB/s!!! On a 4Mbps Uncapped Gold account, are you ****ing kidding me?
I don't even know to which ISP to move to next, the previous 2 also sucked when I left (Afrihost mid 2013, MWEB late 2013).

Help is admirable, but when Open uses free 30gb capped accounts and unlaunched VDSL early bird deals to impresses individually selected clients and then muffle unhappy clients is bad shape. As you can see its nothing personal against DrJohnZoidberg, but rather the way Openweb operates that grinds at me.

I can only give feedback regarding my experience with OW which honestly has been above par when it comes to ISPs in this country.

From next month I also will no longer be an OW subscriber as I have cancelled my uncapped account with them, the only reason being that I cannot afford it anymore (20Mbps doesn't come cheap).

I also will not purchase another OW uncapped account from them with all these unanswered questions regarding account sharing still lingering as well as their sudden disappearing act from MyBB. If they could provide a better monitoring system (i.e bandwidth usage, session logins, easy password change) I would definitely reconsider though when the time comes where I can afford it again.

At the moment I wouldn't recommend OW to anyone, but it doesn't mean I won't try and assist people having issues no matter which ISP they're using.

I hope that clears things up regarding my opinion on this topic.

Phinix actually specified it was an unshaped account, OW used to sell Gold unshaped also. Seems I do know my product line up after all :p :D

I'm sorry I ever mentioned my free account :( I should have seen that it would have rubbed some people the wrong way :(

It did help my star rating recover tho :D
