I bought a 1 Gig capped package from openweb. The purchase was done online and openweb claim they never received my money. On checking my transaction history in my bank account it shows that the R29 for the package was deducted and openweb refuse to add the data to my account. I contacted my bank and they requested i do a reversal, but really dont have time for this nonsense. The reason people purchase online is to save time and not to waste it. I bought thousands of goods online and never had one problem with my cheque card. So openweb i will be losing R29 but you will be losing alot more. If this dont get resolved hellopeter is your name.

So who is the best ips in South africa. Would the real isp please sand up please sand up...

I rent a 2 Meg line with WA, but i am looking for uncapped data for the line. Gaming on a ps3 will take priority, so it needs good international latency. I like mweb, but they trottle and openweb is out the door. So it seems the best is also the worst. Good network but bad customer service - not a good combo.

They need both to qualify.

Any one got any suggestions.

Please advise

Did you pay via EFT? Then the payment takes time to clear. Credit card is immediate.

hate it when customers 'threaten' with HelloPeter and expect businesses to bend over backwards for them.

If you paid by EFT, the money needs to clear on their side.
You dont say when you paid, and was it a regular EFT which you did, or one of those instant-eft that many online stores do.
Did you put the correct reference number?
Did you mail OpenWeb the proof of payment?
What time was all of this?

Seriously, not being a douche but before slamming a company in public, put a more detailed complaint so we know if your issue is valid or not.

he bought it online with CC , cheque card works the same credit card for online buying, so openweb should of received the money

Where does it say a CC was used? If that's the case it should have been instant.

+1 to all of the above...

I can sympathise when a customer has legitimate issues, but the moment a customer starts threatening with HelloPeter all my sympathy disappears.

Well if the companies resolved the issue first time and the customer get what they paid for there would not even be a need for hellopeter, but thats not the case now is it. That was not a threat, its a fact.

Its a cheque card - so payment is immediate.

I bought the 1 gig 2 weeks ago, after 20 emails still no data allocated. Openweb dont even have a proper call centre and is only available during office hours - no sat and sunday. and they depend on a stupid ticket system to resolve complicated queries. I mean what type of isp is that - their network is ok but customer service poor - and yeah its my right to complain if i dont get proper service.

Afrihost dont look to bad hey. I get 1 one gig free with them every month - Their site is amazing, but a bit of lag on the gaming side. I think i will support them for giving me free data.

It's your right to complain on HelloPeter, yes, but just do it. Don't say "if this doesn't get resolved I'm running to HelloPeter neener neener neeeeener!" If it doesn't get resolved, just post a complaint on HelloPeter. No need to sling threats around first.

Too many people try to use running to HelloPeter as leverage over a company.
