What should I do in order for them to stop sending me this e-mail?

I signed up for their free 1GB account.

Cancel the account

This seems to be the reality. I am not going to consider a larger cap account if I cannot deactivate this on any of the panels on their client management portal.

Create a rule on your email client to trash it on arrival.

Simple.

That is exactly what I have done.

Although I thought there has to be a way to get the provider to slow down with its spam.

I asked them the same question, and they told me the only thing I could do to stop them was cancel the account. Since I wanted to keep the account, I just blocked the email at server level.

Problem solved. :)

Why not drop them a mail?! And ask for a monthly report?

I have had terrible experience with a variety of company customer service channels. I by far trust the shortcuts found in the knowledge base that is MyBroadband. My personal trusted source of information.

This is why:

Usage stats can only be disabled on our paid accounts.

We can however cancel this account for you, or convert it to a paid account if you would no longer like to receive these?

What a silly practice.

Filter added and so it shall be.

Agreed, don't know why everything from Openweb has to come with a catch. As an ex paying client of theirs for 2 years, I know that nothing is ever what it seems with them.
