Openweb - New Fiber Solutions, clarification anyone ?

WOW!

120ms ping on a 384k line on international servers really sounds lucrative, please posts those screenies and speedtests asap :D

/bump

...i would actually like to see some real and proper testing done on these accounts and how do they compare to unshaped verizon/saix. the biggest draw back for me would be only 2 connections on an account, but at those price just get 2 accounts for 4 connections.

side note: openweb's site, nice rework/overhaul !

-what would rock if this could go the prepaid way....

Cool man, I'll do a merrrgeerrrrr :p ;) :D

/runs in fear

as i said before a test would be nice in

is "fiber" VS unshaped Verizon VS unshaped Saix VS shaped saix VS shaped IS - so one can actually make a good choice for online gaming between those and RPGmmo and FPSmmo both locally and internationally.

I just subscribed to the Openweb Fibre 5Gig offering, and it's brought my WoW latency down to around 450ms, so it's been worth it for me. R299 for 5gig, not the worst deal for pretty good mmo latency imo.

tried the wow thing again tonight and saw it my ping around 400ms - gosh i want the 190ms days again...

Ive been using a 1GB OpenWeb Firbe account and I find even Shaped SAIX being better than it? Even weekends and after hours?

Facebook almost never wants to load? How has the experiences been with everyone else?

Yeah, I think I will be going back to my SAIX after this month again cause the IS network for international just really seems unstable. Local is still fine for my purposes.

I have a completely different experience. I can access anything with my fibre acc. It's not using their satellites, its SAT3. No reason for it to be slower than Saix, same source.

Very strange, I use a IS Local account and the IS Fibre account with Route Sentry. Could that cause anything to go wrong? I get a very noticeable difference in performance between SAIX International Shaped and IS Fibre
