Sup guys ?

Im looking 4 a local I.S account with 2 concurrent connections...

WebAfrica States 2 but one connection at a time  wats the blerry point! waste

Wat about Openweb ?

Openweb allows 2. It could be more, i cant confirm it now, i just tested by dialing the same local IS account through two simultaneous dial-up like connections with the router in bridge mode and it worked :)

ok thanks lad...:p

btw sorry... i posted this in the wrong thread.. my bad :D

Yeah only diff is price, support and ease of getting the account(signing up)
Though both are top class in those fields...so just flip a coin :p

Will it disconnect the 3rd Concurrent? , not allowing the 3rd concurrent or whot?

Moh Dropped you an PM.

Webafrica allows 2 connections at the same time. But when I want to connect to a third it tells me already busy, or something like that.

Go to the WebAfrica site and then I.S local acc.... move your mouse cursor on con connections and c wat it says:p

I think they need to edit that tool tip that pops up

but anyway gora assured me 2 connections simultaneously 4sure....
Jis wanted 2 make sure be4 i get the acc:p

I got an openweb one and would go with them. ;)

In case you're wondering, I've dialed up 3 concurrent connections with this account already! ;)

I aggree with the frog. I have 3 PC's connected to the bridged router, all running RouteSentry, and I have no problem with all three being connected at the same time. This is with a WebAfrica 30Gb local account.

CodeMaster, sorry if this questions has been posed a thousands times before, but does each PC connected to the network need to run RouteSentry? if u're using a wireless router (e.g. Premium Combo), should it be set to operate in bridged and router mode simultaneously? i'm thinking of signing up for the telkom do1 package and then buying prepaid local bandwidth. do you know if you're allowed multiple sessions on the do1 package? would it not be a better option to setup internet connection sharing on the main pc running RouteSentry? any advice appreciated.

OK, i've now tested and an OpenWeb local account does allow up to 4 concurrent connections :)
