Openweb Special.... with a dig at Afrihost!

Combine one of these packages with 5gb package from Afrihost and the majority of my needs would be met.
the IS NS is still buggered?
To be honest I dont find the SAIX servers to be any better or any worse than the IS ones.

Sounds lame. It's basically R130 for 2GB = R65/GB when Afrihost is R29/GB. Local only *internet* bandwidth is the most retarded invention ever.

You can get 3GB international + plus 30GB local pure SAIX from Telkom Internet for R150 a month, ffs.

Combine that sucker with an Afrihost account for browsing. ;)

What would you like me to say? That's my personal experience - I use a 30gb IS and a 30gb Telkom - both are pretty much as bad as the other.

You should get them to correct this then - http://mybroadband.co.za/news/ADSL/9796.html - however afaik the new 3bg accounts come with 20gb local and the 5gb (old 3gb) with 30gb local.

I am on the Telkom Do Broadband level 2.

R258 = 3 gig intl + 30 gig local and a 384 line.

A 384 line separately costs R152.

So basically I'm getting 3 gig intl and 30 gig local for R106..

Don't think anything can beat that currently.

You're fortunate :):

I think all of us is trying to make the best of the situation by using two or more ISP accounts.

Nothing wrong with that.

Mix and match to your satisfaction so you get more value for your money.

Only in South Africa. In countries like Europe and America people don't even know the login details for their ISP cause they never have to change! :erm:

Yeah, and 50 years ago they too used to stick stamps on folded pieces of paper and stick them in red metal tubes to communicate with other people.

Is it as little as that? No contracts?

I agree!

I had a look at a Sky (UK) router the other day, and the details were encrypted. You could not even see the username, nor recover it through the usual means. It comes like that out of the box.

True. They in fact still use this means of communication, but only for items too big to cram down a broadband pipe. The curious thing also is that unlike SA the items do make it to their final destination - unopened and in one piece.

Sometimes it even sits outside on the porch for hours before the recipient arrives back home, without anybody stealing. Most of the times though these items are left inside the front door which is always unlocked.

Nothing. I'm just surprised you haven't had better experiences with SAIX. SAIX is way better for me. I'm sure most would agree.

Keoma Wright is the LAST one who should point any fingers at ANYONE's company. cant even answer is private emails. i inboxed him over a month ago and still no reply. typical. then he runs into the public threads i've made and claims he does answer me. which is BS. he is as useless as his empty promises and his useless company.
