i cant even stream a 240p youtube video on the VB backbone... There are some extreme shaping policies in effect during the day it seems...
 
Ok working again now, London ping a bit high 400ms compared to the usual 230odd I've been getting on it.
Local pings are normal now and to the states is fine. Get around 3Mbps on speedtest constantly to both london and new york.

So besides the last 2 days minor blibs Altech has been perfect (don't use p2p on it so that doesn't bother me).

I was downloading the new Ubuntu and updating last night and the whole of today.... think I just hit that 20% userbase on IS std uncapped again ;(

It would be helpful if doing "system updates" like windows, linux, android etc didn't affect that quota, since those are not really "bandwidth abuse protocols"
 
that explains it then. guess will just have to stick it out.

is it a general telkom fault? our specific to openweb.
 
Will openweb be upgrading the accounts with the rollout of the 8mb line?

I have 4mb uncapped and loving it, but would like 8mb:)
 
What speeds are guys getting on vb using usenet?I think vb don't like usenet anymore
 
VB was not working, giving two thirds speed. Now Neology account is even crappier only one third.

same problem on the first of every month.
 
If I have a standard uncapped account with Openweb, will I be able to download torrents?
