All our networks are currently running 100%. Any problems are 99% of the time Telkom related. You can try and have your port reset by calling Telkom on 0800 375 375 but due to the sheer lack of IQ at that department, it might be easier to request it from myself.

I have to disagree with that IQ comment, i have never spoken to someone using that number that does not know what they are doing.
 
Either you are very lucky, or they like you. Our dealings with these folks have been very negative, with no sign of improving.

It think it is more like the fall of the dice, nothing more. You get one or two of the ADSL call centre personnel that is very good with solving the customers problem now, but the majority of them are clueless - they only go through their little list and if that do not fix the problem, you wait 3-4 days to get the problem solved.

Agreed. Whenever I call any Telkom department with problems, I am forced to act like I know nothing at all about computers. The moment you start letting on that you know something about them, they're entire 'routine' is thrown off track and they have no idea how to respond, because their little list caters only to people with no idea how their computer works.
 
Mmmm and the interwebz gods are on our side this fine Saturday afternoon.

Its balls to the wall and the pipes are burning white :)
 
Having problems, getting huge ping spikes in games and web pages loads very very slow on IS backbone.

Nobody else having problems? Been great all day but since about an hour ago it's become useless.

Same here posting this from cell c , reboot the router leave it off for 20 mins........
 
Got my internet going for a few hours now its back to being useless again.
 
Hmm.. yeah, experiencing the same on IS today. Even had long pauses with DNS lookups a few minutes ago, seems to vary from hour to hour. Gonna swap to my Telkom account for a while.
 
Its not just Openweb ,my telkom account is doing the very same thing this morning.

My telkom 1gig account is alright: Plus this month surprisingly I got 5GB instead of 1GB. Also sometimes once I've finished my cap of 1GB it goes to local and sometimes during the month it switches back to international even though my cap is finished :)
