That's bizarre man i am as well and whether i use the ssl or normal it goes at full speed.
Have you reboot the router? hahaha i know i sound like a broken record but it worked for me in the past, i dunno why but the last 2 weeks it has been full speed 24/7.
I just got home now and it's still slow.I did the reboot thing and a reset still nuffing. Before today my VB account was flying 24/7 , my IS account is fine though. If it's still buggered tomorrow I'll give MR.Beep a shout. How is IS on nntp?
7pm to 7am is apparently very good.
Experiencing really crappy connectivity again tonight (for the umpteenth time in the past few months now) rendering our connection practically useless.
I contacted mweb some time ago to see if they could sort us out with a test account when we had consistently poor connectivity for 2-3 weeks straight, but by the time their sales guy got back to me (1.5 weeks later) the 'issues' had reduced to a point where they were tolerable, so I never got back to them.
At this point, however, I think I will try and get a test account out of them again if for nothing other than to see if I experience issues on one of their accounts while I'm experiencing issues on our Openweb account.
We've been happy Openweb customers for years now, but the consistency of the service quality is simply becoming too erratic to keep a straight face anymore, and I cannot think that it is a matter of 'congested exchanges' for us, as we live out in the countryside where most people believe dialup is still the best internet connection available.
