I have just signed up for the R399 deal, also being routed via hong kong. Did you manage to come right yet?

That looks like the Neology backbone to me on which your account is based. Rather ask MrBeep to switch you to a different backbone, like IS or Mweb and see what get after that.

Is it just me or are International speeds horrible today?

My OpenWEB Gold 384k was pretty bad around 11-ish this morning but now it seems to be working ok again...

I was switched to the IS backbone, so far so good (300ms instead of 250ms international pings, but no more 1600ms pings either =D).

The international is indeed aslight bit ****tier today than usual, but not enough really to be alarmed.
At least not yet alarming to me.

This is my speed atm with a normal uncapped account and a 4Mbps line testing with speedtest to New York:

Can someone else with the same line and account also please post a speedtest to the same server? :o

EDIT: Tada, and here is my local speeds atm:

Anyone with IS, please post same.

@MrBeep, is it just me or is there a known problem with IS?

Have you tried with another ISP account (if you have like a backup one), just to rule out the problem with your line (maybe Telkom is working on your exchange to upgrade you to 10mbps :P).

Yes, tested with WebAfrica account, no problem with my line. :( Just my Openweb account.
