Yes, tested with WebAfrica account, no problem with my line. :( Just my Openweb account.

Vodoo mine did that yesterday for about 20mins(almost exact same speed), rebooted the router and been getting these speeds since

IS uncapped Standard
Guess IS haven't limited the 4MB/s accounts yet.... doubt it will last

So how many guys have been lucky enough to be bumped up to the 8 - 10Mbps range yet? Will Openweb be offiering any afterhours uncapped 10Mbps packages perharps?

Good question.
Someone asked mweb that the other day.... Mweb says they're still waiting on feedback from Telkom regarding the whole speed thing.
From OW's side, I think it's gonna be a case of they have to hear from their providers first.... what will IS be doing wrt the speed upgrades? What will they charge for it? I reckon it starts there...

Wouldnt it be nice if they bumped up users on the 4MB uncapped packages to 10MB for free...*poof* wake up and welcome back to reality...

Am on standard and also have been getting really slow speeds and really high pings (200ms - 500ms local) today!

I had some badass slow http as well today.
Thought for a moment that I had been supershaped for my 384k Lite.

Restarted router... and then everything was fine again.

Hey Friends,

There was a fault yesterday with Telkom IPCONNECT causing slow speeds on some networks.

Please reboot your router to restore access.

Kind regards

I've been trialing your product and haven't seen any fault with it yesterday - after 19:30 that is.

Yeah, it was during the day mostly.
Http had some issues returning the pages... it would be slow. But most other protocols were fine. It's all fine now again.

im still happy with this product but im unsure when you become a %20 user, wish IS could clarify this abit more.

That's the thing... IS doesn't give stats so it's hard to really tell. Sure, it would change from month to month, but still.
But as soon as your usage after like 1GB is in the top 20% of all users on that package, you get shaped for the next 10 days, until you are out of that 20% bracket... that's pretty much all there is to it.

But Ja I rather prefer this kind of shaping method then mwebs dynamic shaping.

Only thing is, if you go monkey on day 1, then even if you don't do anything for the next 9 days, you WILL be shaped until that 10 day period is over (this is how the explanation seems). That's the only drawback.

But yeah, it's better too I think, because if you don't go monkey, then you won't be shaped.
On Mweb's shaping, everyone gets shaped if the lines are under pressure.
