Openweb Uncapped Feedback

exactly what i am thinking! why the fek are we paying for a 4 meg uncapped account when its being shaped to the same speed as a 384K account. if this is not resolved by the end of the week I am going to tell opwenweb to change me to a 384K uncapped account and refund me the difference. this is a joke :(

This just supports my previous post I was also getting 384k full line speed of +30KB on news.is.co.za over the weekend on a 4Meg line and account.
 
This can't carry on, I'm lucky if I get one torrent downloading for a few seconds before dropping and that's at 0.1K avg. Switch to my shaped telkom account and they shoot up to 20k. Mr Beep, move us on to Mweb until you and IS sort things out!

LOL, highly doubt that will happen, but I guess we can only hope :D
 
Yea, wishful thinking. Guess the best thing to do is move to Mweb. Pity, I wanted to give Open web a chance. But, without feedback and when such changes will be implemented, willy nilly comments saying we are in talks just don't cut it!

By the way, even on 384k a ping of 138ms - 533ms is horrible.

I am pc dumb so know nothing about pings or what they are supposed do......:D


I can download and I can browse and work on my blogs with no hassle so me I am happy.....;):whistle:
 
Also having the username/password error. Able to connect again after 10 - 20min
 
General browsing: Slower than 56k
Newsserver: dead
Torrents: dead
IM's: frequent disconnects
Happiness with the connection: 0%

Seems MWEB is the way to go.

I already emailed you guys but you dont want to give me a refund. I just threw R539 at openweb for the worst adsl account i've ever used.

If you're willing to give us refunds then i'll bother to waste my time emailing openweb again.
 
Hi Friends,

Hopefully within the next day or so these accounts will start performing at an acceptable level. We have been in constant contact with our supplier, and they have indicated that they will be tweaking the accounts. I will update this thread once we know more.

pastry, I do hope the account will please you once it has been tweaked, and that you will remain an OpenWeb client for years to come!

Sent a PM as well with my account details, so that it can be looked into. What's the point if all you can do is browse?
 
Am also really annoyed I got the Openweb 4096 uncapped account thinking that it was a resale of the mweb account since I was already an Openweb user....

but this account is ridiculous! The downloads are pathetic and sometimes even browsing doesn't work!Am really annoyed felt like I have been screwed I should have just went for the Mweb account but I have wasted 1 month.
