Openweb Uncapped Feedback

Anyone else experiencing terrible torrent download speeds since being moved onto the "new" openweb network and not the IS backbone? I'm seriously considering moving to Mweb. Chopping and changing login details and feedback to Mr Beep has come to no good.

Hi zadbnguy

It all depends on which network you were moved to. Sorry for asking this, but please email me so that I can take a look.

Kind regards
MrBEEP

I've been moved around (account login details changed) with pro's and cons to the various offerings. The current one has to be the worst to date, which is [email protected]

thats on the vodacom broadband network if im not mistaken (correct me if im wrong)

im also on that package now since 100+ emails during this month

i seem to be having quicker responce from the sites i try to load, speed tests were also fairly better that compared to the IS uncapped product.

got good speeds yesterday when i started out with the product, will keep on testing and keep everyone up to date

I'm on a 384K package, YouTube videos are absolutely impossible to download during the day and torrents peak around 6K if I'm lucky, mostly avg below 1K during the day. Currently some of my regular sites I visit wont even open.

I wish other ISP's showed the diligence and transparency as to their issues and solutions as Openweb (aka MrBeep) does. Once again prompt response and a solution on hand. Thanks MrBeep :D

I am on this Gold network (4mbit)...but tonight it is utterly useless. I'm not even getting 384 speeds. Guess Mweb will be seeing me very soon. I really cannot stand these inconsistent speeds without an email telling me why or when it will be fixed.

I am so glad I have not signed up for a debit order. If my speeds do not improve by the 25th of May,
Openweb will just be another ISP on my list who cannot deliver uncapped. :(

Hi Maestr0

Please email me so that I can troubleshoot.

I did a comparison between MWEB and OPENWEB (5minutes apart), Speedtest results (to Cape Town) as follows:(I don't know exactly how to load a picture of the screenshot)
OPENWEB
Download = 2.10 Mb/s
Upload = 0.43 Mb/s
Ping = 41ms

MWEB
Download = 3.47 Mb/s
Upload = 0.43 Mb/s
Ping = 57ms

You must do this again during the day!

Maestro, this is another example of having to complain on MyBB before Openweb will consider looking at your problem.

I don't even get a "mail me...." response from Openweb on the forum :D And my direct mails get crap copy and pasted responses. It's becoming hilarious

I think MrBeep should rename this package to Openweb Uncapped 384 OF, 2048AH.

I have never in my life used a copy and paste response, unless I am sending you a network notice.

I personally read, action and respond to emails sent to me.

MyBB is not the reason why we assist our clients. Some clients however do not email us but only type here, thus we have to inform them to email us, so that we can identify them and troubleshoot.

And as I expected, it has sorted itself out.

To London

To Pretoria

And I'm getting full speed on Astraweb.
