From the website: " Don't get us wrong, P2P and torrents will be a breeze, until you enter the 20% bracket, upon which they will be drastically shaped. "

100 gig on 384K, you most definitely will be in the top 20%, which means you will be "drastically" shaped. I don't use this product so I don't know how it performs, but pulling 100 gig on a 384k line would mean that you are downloading 24/7 - there is just no way you can do this on an account like this.

On the lite account, which I am trying for the month, I hit 11GB after 7 days.... (uTorrent's RSS filters)..... oops. Don't go that route. Rather stay to a lot less than that, because everything is slow now.

I hate this country -_- why couldn't I have been born in a proper country?!

Seriously dude, you have three choices;

1. Accept things for what they are in Africa and try to make the best of the situation
2. Make a difference, get onto some committee that lobbies the Government, whatever but do something instead of bleating
3. Hurry off to Oz like all the other backbone-less whingers.

Remember, no great nation was EVER built with people who sounded like squashed grapes, more like people who actually did something constructive.

Just signed up for Uncapped Gold, paid via credit card and activated my account moments ago. How long should it take for my ADSL account details to be sent to me?

Not long, you'll probably get it sorted as soon as office hours start, if not already.

It looks like my latency keeps going up at night. . .
I don't even know anymore if its telkom or openweb -_-

Port reset only managed to help my latency a bit this morning until about 5pm, then I started getting LAG spikes and generally bad latency

It all comes down to uncapped. Its not for international online gaming, if you want stable latencies you have to get a capped or unshaped product. Nuff said

for me it is about getting the speed i am paying for. and at present i am not getting that. obviously i want my latency reasonable at the same time.

Agreed. When you pay for your internet you want it to run at full speed or very close to it. Not having it run at full speed means that your being cheated.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with your statement. Openweb gold is for gaming as well. I'm on the gold VB package myself and I play all my online games with no problems, plus I have a stable ping as well.

My gold account is also slow with high latecies this morning! :(

Hello,

If you are having a problem, please email me so that we can have a look

Today has been better than for most days.

HTTP at least running full speed.

Usenet only topping out around the 250kB/s mark.

For the premium I am paying can't say I am satisfied. This is the kind of performance I would expect from MWeb. Thinking if going back there cause at least for how much I'll be paying it wont be totally disappointing.

People arent even getting 60K nowadays on their news server downloads using Mweb.

My one friend just left them beginning of Feb because of this. They are shaping 10 worse than ever before
