You mean R219pm?
Yeah there is an AUP on it, also a 20% shaping policy (once you get in the top 20% of users you get shaped), but you need to download a fair bit to reach that. It's a perfectly fine package. Gold is obviously 10000000x better and is a good choice too. I loved it while I was on it.

R129 is a special that is currently running on the STANDARD 384 uncapped

The top 20% of users getting shaped is on the LITE packages. I'm on the 384 standard and have never been shaped no matter how much I have downloaded.
Though when I was on the lite package I got shaped pretty quickly :D

Ah ok.
I got shaped on the last day of last month. Also thought the 20% thing was only for lite but mrbeep told me otherwise.
I was on 65GB or so.
 
I do not DL much a month but using about 4gig, thats why I was thinking about the R129 deal, its cheap.

I will phone Openweb today and subscribe to the R129 deal, if still available.

Okay so went to the site, clicked on the link and in 10min got my username and password....hope I clicked the correct account :). Only active 1May...sucks....

Haha kk! I think there was a problem between the PE - JHB link at least that's what the tracert's I did suggest... Seems to be working properly now though!

(Not sure of the structure of the national fibre networks just guessing by the naming convention used.) Definitely not time related on ATC side but I reckon telkom could've been fiddling with their IPC

Out of interest, how does the Altech network work? They say they've built their own. At which point do they tie into Telkom?

telkom IPC like all the major ISP's (Mweb/IS/...) only way they can get access to the Local loop as far as I know.
