Also noticed now speeds are low but are we not shaped due to business hours? on OpenWeb Gold 4MB

I'm still on my fairly consistant 200kb... Doesn't seem to.change much, up or down.

been a bit slow the last few days but will test tonight and see what happens.

Anybody else on a Gold account experiencing the odd slowdown after exactly 7:00am everyday for last 2 days?

What backbone? I'm on IS and yes, speeds seem to suck bad these past few days (During the day, at night its fine)

Browsing is basically dead for me on Gold VB. Takes ages for pages to open. Steam running at full speed though.

Mine's working fine hey.

MrBeep, any comment as to why this is happening every 24 hours? I know back in the day ISPs used to do this so that they could keep tabs on usage, but ICASA since prohibited the periodical restarts and (most) of the accounts I've been on has been without this.
This is however becoming annoying on VB when often I am doing something that requires a constant connection, be it non-resume downloads, streaming or whatever. I've had a few files fail because of this.

You mean it resets once a day 24 hours after the connection was established? Mine does that as well on the VB backbone.

Also, seems my local browsing is fine. Must be an outage or something in Cape Town.

Yup. My Gold (IS) never did that, BCS neither. Only seems to be VB.

Mine does this as well sometimes. My MWEB didn't. It's irritating have to log in to steam everyday because my IP changes.

Speed gone down to below 200kb/s again. It's weekend for crying out loud. Give us some speed.

cannot get full line speed here on any protocol... somethings up

Hey Friends,

I have just had a report of a Telkom fault causing a slowdown in certain areas.

Engineers are attending.

Would've been nice if this didn't happen on a Friday night. I am halfway through my download!!

Sorry!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Eish...

BUT I am still flying... so my area is not one of the affected.

MrBEEP... PM me the download, I can finish it for you if you like! ;)

I have no complaints on my side :)

VB 4MB Gold Uncapped running like a dream, full speed downloads, kick ass streaming. The way uncapped is meant to be :D

It was running like crap, slow nntp, slow http.

Logged in rebooted router and bam all was good again :D. Odd when mweb used to tell me to do that it never bloody helped :D. Now it's like the best option. Slow speed = reboot and back to good speeds.
