Clearly my issue is not Telkom related. Something dodgy is on the go with OW download shaping.

These results are optimistic as well. During "working hours" my pings on OW are far higher and I'm lucky to get 0.1Mbps from international sites or NNTP. I'll repeat the tests tomorrow morning again.

You are not alone sir.
Something really messed up is going on during working hours on OpenWeb... I can't barely even open my Gmail!
 
My account seems to have died again after the apparent fibre break that caused my account not to authenticate :(

I have full speed on my lil'ol 384 IS Gold.

No problems at all for me.
 
Just emailed Mr Beep lets hope he can move me back over to IS.
BCSnet account was doing wonders for me but iv been having 0 int access intermitently , rather be slow over IS than have 0 int access
 
Hi there does any body have international problems on the BCS network its the second day that it does not work from time to time local are fine and all 6 of my accounts are doing the same thing on 6 different lines and modems.
 
well my international yesterday and today was fast slow nothing and before that it was terribly slow after the cable break.
could not even log into supersport to whatch the rugby and when it came on now again i watched the highlight live with not an glich...
 
Another person in my area is also down - so I recon its a Telkom problem (in my area)
 
Hope you guys get sorted.

I must admit, i noticed while my NNTP has been running at acceptable to optimal whole week, at certain times browsing was non-existent which was fine at the time as it wasn't anything urgent and quickly sorted itself out when trying to access sites later on.

Ok dumb question time haha, nntp wasn't running full speed while browsing was it? hahaha, i got netlimiter and i limit it to 300 during the day
 
@killadoob, Its not a dumb question because we both know the answer to that haha.

Granted if you loosen it up, you can browse, but it was like everything was broken except the link between the NNTP server and me. The same issues pointed out on here this last week.
