Hey Friends,

OpenWeb has gone through quite a few changes over the last week.

Firstly, we have employed a full time Chief Developer to manage our systems and infrastructure. Scott Carver has years of experience in setting up and managing advanced networks.

Our FREE Local South African Proxy Beta for bypassing capping and low latency gaming has been tested very successfully over the last few weeks. This service will become a star in our product offerings, and we intend on keeping it that way after 1 November!

Of course OpenWeb remains a Non-Profit organization, enabling us to offer services at prices that CANNOT be matched by commercial companies.

We are currently in talks with one of the alternative local bandwidth backbones, in an attempt to offer a wide variety of local ADSL products....

Lastly, our Free Unshaped Proxy service will be getting an update over the next few days, as we offer auto unshaping software (so that you don't have to manually enter all the proxy details), as well as alternative unshaping protocols.

Oops, I musn't forget to add I have scrapped the 5GB cap on accounts. You now have UNLIMITED downloading bandwidth :)

So all in all, the future looks positive for the revolution known as OpenWeb!

Have a GREAT day!

Hey catch,

Thanks
MrBEEP

MrBeep,

I was just wondering which is the one for downloading and low-latency gaming? Is it the South-African Proxy or the Free Socks/Proxy accoint?

You are trying to use the international proxy when you are capped internationally. That is why it don't work!

LOL @ Catch21, not quite, the international proxy is to bypass shaping. How can it bypass capping when you need international access to actually access the proxy? However there is a local beta proxy (as far as i know only for http) so it helps avoid the cap and not the shaping (2 different proxies mate)...
