OpenWeb Unshaped Update!

Hehe, hope you enjoy using the proxies, i certainly have! :)

As i said ( somewhere ) im a newbie and im trying to figure all this out, but yeah i'm definately seeing a big difference.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, or anything, but what guarantee is there that we know that openweb is non-profit? I mean, are you a section 21 company or something?

Not that there's anything bad with profit, and I really do admire what you're doing MrBEEP, but would you mind clarifying openweb's position/stance/legal status? How do you intend taking this forward?

OpenWeb comprises of two parts. OpenWeb - which offers the FREE services such as our Free Socks anbd Proxy Server, FREE OpenVPN coming in the next few days etc, This is a non profit company, pending section 21 approval.

OpenISP, is a commericial company, that will be registered as a CC. OpenISP involves investors that had to invest money to bring it to its feet, thus its a commericial entity selling all our ISP related services. The two will be seperated soon with different websites.

Hope this explains it.

help

I applied for my OpenWeb account, and all that i got was my username/password and details for an international server. unfortunetly, this does not help capping. Some please let me know the details of the local server.

no kidding, you don't say, coulda swore i just said that. thats why i was asking for the loca server details!

I weap for your whole family tree.

I'm also wondering about the local port 80 server than Mr. Beep was talking about earlier on, any clarification? I'd love a local port 80 unshaped proxy thanks! By the way i just used the proxy right now to browse while i was capped but i'm on Iburst. The browsing stays at capped speeds and connects to sites slower... 50-120kb or so.
