Can anyone tell me how this account performs: OpenWeb's 1 Mbps Standard Uncapped (R197)?
  • Torrents (kbps)
  • Shaping
  • Gamings (Pings)
  • Browsing/Downloading
    etc.
Thanks :)

Signed up for this account earlier this month and have been mostly running torrents (+- 30 GB so far) and have yet to notice any kind of shaping, running at line speed almost all the time.

Browsing also good with no noticeable delays.

Gaming I have not tried yet, but pings are quite reasonable. Local (CPT) 34ms, London 160ms.

Quite impressed so far. But check out the trial account and make up your own mind.

I had their 1mb Standard for a while - runs really well. I'd try fork out the little extra for a 2mb line though- I don't think that you can do better than openweb right now

Yes, it does run really well:

I did a speed test last night with OpenWeb's Standard (R197) trial account. Here's the results:

The ping seems to be misleading, as I was playing TF2 this morning and got 31ms on a local server and 202ms on an european server.
Downloaded a 300mb torrent this monday morning. I averaged 93kb/s and peaked at 113kb/s

I am very pleased with this account, and will be moving to them. :)
