The new Opera 10.60 has finally been released for Linux. And it works perfectly (or at least what I tested so far here in Linux Mint 9).

It is a little bit over 15mb for the 64bit .deb version.

New in Opera 10.60

* Our further-optimized JavaScript engine is over 50% faster than in Opera 10.50.
* Enhanced support for advanced Web standards such as HTML5 and WebM video is now included.
* Opera can prompt you to share your location, making geolocation-supporting websites more useful.
* Search suggestions for selected providers help you find results more easily.

Or if you only have local, then you can download it from the following mirror:

I'm gonna download it once I'm back onto my Linux box.

10.60 just automatically updated on all of my windows machines.

I thought 10.52 was fast, but 10.60 is a noticeable increase in speed.

I'm also using Opera 10.60 on Ubuntu 10.04 and must admit that it's very fast.

For some reason Google Chrome bookmarks are HUGE in Ubuntu, it really cheezes me off - and there's nothing I can do to fix it. *sniff*

The UI puts me off, a bit clunky, prefer a more native UI like chrome on Linux or OSX.

Took me a while to customize it to my liking, but I'm actually impressed with it now.

Will never beat Chrome 5 on Windows 7, but not too shabby for Linux. I give it the thumbs up.
