Opera browser hits speed peak

This is a race of constant one-upmanship. The title is never held for very long.

I cannot intall Chrome on my notebook, tried so many times, what am I doing wrong?

I've been using the beta for a while and its amazingly fast. It renders pages so quickly its almost scary and there are many other added features that just make it even better, like the way it handles passwords. Definitely worth a try.

hmm..will give it a try. Anything but IE is good for me

Try out the Chrome Experiements Opera rocks in it. most Geeks use FF because of the option of plugins, but according to FF only 30% of their users use plugins (and mostly for themes), which means at least 70% has no excuse to not try Opera. They have been front of so many browser developments, I stopped counting (tab browsing, crash session recovery, mouse gestures, spell checker).

Not to mention how it seamlessly syncs with Opera Mini or Opera Mobile, I also like the integration of the E-mail client and the IRC and all the myOpera goodies.

@acidb Filehippo.com has the full installer for Google Chrome. Simply download and install.

Tried to use Opera a while ago on Ubuntu, but starting up and switching tabs was horribly slow.

I'm using Opera now. Seems fast. Great look and feel too.

I've been trying to move away from opera for years, and i just keep coming back.

The new 10.50 beta is pretty sweet. The first thing i do is remove all the button i don't use and put the toggle bar on the left. It's just fantastic how quick and light opera is.

@acidb, quicktime works perfectly with opera, it always has.

Used Opera for a while on Ubuntu desktop, loved it. Way faster than Firefox. But it borked on the companies exchange webmail :( So er um, M$ sucks with there M$ enhanced AES mail encryption and other crafty vendor lock-in tricks, but they could have tried to accommodate it. I cant work without. bleh!
