Opera browser hits speed peak

I've been trying to move away from opera for years, and i just keep coming back.

The new 10.50 beta is pretty sweet. The first thing i do is remove all the button i don't use and put the toggle bar on the left. It's just fantastic how quick and light opera is.

@acidb, quicktime works perfectly with opera, it always has.

Maybe its just the site that doesn't want to load properly in opera, it works perfectly in Chrome and Firefox

Opera's always been #1

If not in pure speed, interface and functionality mean you still get a better experience than any other browser.

All you need nowadays is just your browser to be opened on your desktop to do most things internet-wise

On Opera 10.10 with 9 tabs open I'm using 335MB of memory (stable). On 10.50 with the same tabs open I was using more than double that, and it was constantly increasing.

Yup... memory use is somewhat big with 10.5. Maybe the final when it is released will fix that. I am using the RC 7 and it is fast... but, still buggy. Hope they iron them out.

The chrome 5 dev is waaaay faster! Firefox is most stable. Pity Opera cannot combine the two features...

Will give the 10.5 final another go and see if it all works as promised.

Ok, so after trying it out for well over 2 weeks now, Opera has crashed a total of 4 times, and on this site nogal...hope they do sort it out with the final release.

Yipes... I see i AM using the final build! I just checked the Opera desktop blog, and the RC7 build is the same as their Final!

Opera... What have you done! Sacrificed stability for a stab at #1... except you aren't.

Sigh.

I guess I will have to wait for the "fix" releases then... sob.
