Opera Mini 5 Beta ready for public testing

Already downloaded in the 5800 thread!

Pretty awesome so far!
Need to spend some time with it tonight.

I downloaded it for my Nokia N70 it works great love the new user interface, it is going to take a while to get use to it.
Only 1 thing I hate is that start page (speed dials) I would rather have my home page (Google, Yahoo or Bing)

The first paragraph in the body of the article describes it as a mobile 'OS' - someone may wanna change that to (web) browser.

Great update :).

It does not have the sync feature like the previous version [yet].

I submitted your correction in the Article Mistake Corrections thread.

Does not seem to work on my Blackberry 8310. Got it downloaded and installed. Now it saying "Couldnt load EULA"

Oh well

i got the same message on my storm. i just closed it then opened it and it installed fine thereafter.

I am just crazy about OM 5! The new UI, inline text editing and tabbed browsing is awesome and even like the speed dial! I do remember reading somewhere that the best features are only to be included in later releases!

Installed it this afternoon on my 5800, its awesome! Very nice UI!

Only gripe I have is that if I connect via wifi on a router with a local-only account, it doesn't load local pages (like MyBB).

I found a bug, if you try to download an image the phone hangs.

Seem it is the best alternative to Fennec for Nokia users?

Amazing browser, works beautifully with the N97...
Hopefully, with the final release, Opera will have flash compatibility as well... Thats my only drawback at the moment...

Cheers
Don
