Older Mars rover makes startling discovery

NASA’s Opportunity rover, older brother to the Curiosity rover that landed on Mars last month, has made a new discovery that geologists find both puzzling and exciting, the US space agency said Friday.

They're Martian eggs

Edit: I've been S&B'd

I thought this rover was lost due to some mechanical failure.

Its twin Curiosity was lost in 2010 due to running out of power (Causing the heaters to shut down and the components to stop functioning). Opportunity had (And still has) a problem with its arm, but they found ways around that.

And it's half cousin Curiosity recently just landed.

Spirit stopped communicating in 2010 ;)
