Optimal Route Mapping Software

Hi,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here...

I need to get software that will optimally plan a route for me based on a number of destinations i input.

I have 100 sites i need to visit and i want to input all 100 and let the system calculate the best route for me to cover all the sites. (as opposed to me putting in the order of destinations. I can use a GPS for that)

Price is not issue as i have about 500 sites i need plan across the country.
Normally i use really big map of SA, different colour pins and do it that way. But that sucks..

Sounds like the classic "travelling salesman" problem that anyone who studied computer science or possibly even applied math will know about.

Edit: maybe not, only supports up to 24 points.

The optimap looks like a good option, as does myrouteonline.com

The wikipage looks like an interesting read but will save it for a day when my brain is not too overworked

will see how i go.
