Orange Box ate my cap!

The worst part is, you can't sell your Steam games individually, I bought Dark Messiah, want to flog it to a friend, you can't .. it's bound to your Steam account.

Fsckers

Yea thats the part that suxxxa... BTW Still not luck with steam updating... sitting at 0%

I wonder if it's Internet Solutions? My updates were always at a miserable 5k/s, fortunately the updates were not HUGE for me.

Restart Steam and see.

Orange Box

I used both install disks and it promted me for the second disk. The updates were only about 50 mb so there must have been something wrong with the instillation or the choices you made.

Orange Box

If you didn't choose the option to install the game from the CD via Steam it means you are downloading the games you have purchased because you have simply given Steam your CD-Key and the rights to the game but not told it that you have the game installed.

Something nearly went screwy with my install and luckily I noticed it and it was almost as though I had to install each game twice to avoid Steam downloading the entire game content.

I didnt have any problems with it. Installed both discs and updates only took 50MB so u must have done the instillation wrong. U must have got Steam to download the games from the net instead of installing them off the 2 DVD's

well... if it ate your cap... then you gonna have to wait for the orange box to crap it out...
did that orange box eat it whole or bit off the peak then the material part?

Wonder wonders what pills this guy is on. I mean a orange box eating a cap, I would just laugh my self silly. Then check if the headache pills really are headache pills

:D

Hi everyone

I know from internal sources that Telkom, about a month ago tried something new on their traffic shaping.

I had a similar problem. it's starts to update, but keeps failing and retrying. Eventually it get though, but mine tried over a 100 times. amounting to Gigs of traffic.

Lucky for me I am on uncapped.

Don't blame Orange box or steam. Blame Telkom for crappy/expensive internet

had the same problem with my ISP shaping steams traffic but after 300 hours of phone call's and requests to my ISP. after 7PM steam updates and downloads at max speed!

If you purchase the orange box, you do so understanding that it should just activate itself via the internet. NOT try and download the entire game!! :(

I have returned it to cna and got a refund.. And left lots of mail in gears inbox. :)

The international tendency to rip/rape the public by big firms sickens me, and I can understand why the public then rip them back.
