Ordering ADSL

Just got off the phone with the numbnuts bregade at 10219, trying to order a line... are there any alternatives to Telkom's call centers when ordering? Its such a mission, they dont even have my address on their system, i had to supply them with a nearby business's phone number to locate my street....

Arent there ISP's or somebody else offering installation options through Telkom? Surely they might be better/faster?
 
Ah yes, you see my issue is that I have no actual phone line yet, so I dont think Webafrica will be able to help, this sucks badly. Ive probably had 3 adsl lines put in in my life, and each time its 6 weeks plus....
 
I did it last week
You need to get the telephone line done first then order adsl.

Took them 2 days to install my line.
Then a week to do adsl.
 
Been waiting three years for my telephone line, its not going to happen for me.
 
Why not visit a Telkom Direct Shop or order via the web?
 
I should probably do that Moggie, thing is im on the edge of Houghton and Hillbrow, everything is freaking DODGE. I see Telkom vans all the time around my Complex... might not be a bad idea to force one of them to install everything..

I see Telkom f**ks on the corner of my complex, all the time. 15 meters from the gate, and I have nothing, after three years. Some folk have moved in there 5 years ago, FRESCA!

Jeesh dude, thats terrible... really, you should phone them and complain, er...
 
When last did you query it? Did you specifically ask then if it still an open order? They have a nasty habit of closing orders to make their stats look good!
 
I have the same issue as Shred. I mailed the CEO's mailbox. To my surprise I got a call from someone(1st call from telkom ever). After 1 1/2 years it's still part of a "project"
