That is what bugged me from the start. But as the saying goes, when in Africa.

What do you mean "this case" Is it because he is famous or because the case got so much attention?

On the contrary they said that while she made certain errors, in their opinion, she did a commendable job under the circumstances. The fact is that their ruling is simply an opinion. It is based on assumptions about what Pistorius must have known or thought at the time. That's something any human should know is ultimately totally subjective. Even giving contradictory accounts is not in itself evidence of anything (but it does once again show that it is high time those involved in the law receive some education on the reality of how human memory and recall works).

The real truth in this case is that the prosecution should not have sought to grandstand in the first place, licking their lips at the opportunity to play to the crowd that claims to be wanting to fight domestic violence (although in reality only cares when women are the victims, and downplays it when they're the perpetrators). This entire case was a farce from the beginning and the blame for that falls squarely on the state.
 
Events that happened aside.

This just shows how incompetent our justice system is, especially judges. They are unable to interpret events presented to them. They are unable to interpret laws. They are unable to form proper judgments and above all sentences. Everything needs to go on appeal to get their shoddy work corrected.

I do not think our justice system is fit to put people on trial. This has been proven in OP's case and will also be proven in a more recent case - and you all know which one I am referring to.

Question is, how long can you close your eyes and hide the incompetence of such important function?

This judge was clueless same as the coffin trial one.
 
wont there be another appeal after this one?
I mean technically its possible for another appeal? or has that been exhausted now?

I mean if you have money and enough time to wear out the lawyers and judges representing you, then
you can keep this charade going until you served your entire sentence...
