WOW! Way better!!!!!!

Telkom ADSL Speed Test Meter
Extreme!
Your line speed is approximately 883.9 Kbps or 108.3 kBytes/sec
( Where kb = kilobits and kB = kiloBytes )

Results:
Below is the data used to calculate your download speed:

Download time: 4.616 seconds
Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
Estimated line speed: 883.9 (kilobits/second)
Estimated line speed: 108.3 (kiloBytes/second)

P.S. on my previous reply. Reception is really sh1tty here in my area.

To get signal (at all) I had to resort to some serious measures:

My Modem is Cable Tied to my DSTV Dish on my roof (protected from sun and rain etc. though). Since the launch I got 100% signal but 2Kb MAX BW.

Now IT ROCKS AGAIN!

Very varying results

1) I ran Telkom's HTTP test:

* Download time: 92.094 seconds
* Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
* Estimated line speed: 44.3 (kilobits/second)
* Estimated line speed: 5.4 (kiloBytes/second)
Equivalent to a 56K dialup !!!! :mad:

b) The Telkom FTP Test :
* Average line speed: 40.98 (kiloBytes/second) ;)

c) Test from www.broadbandreports.com (International site):

2005-04-14 17:02:00 EST: 180 / 47
Your download speed : 184370 bps, or 180 kbps.
A 22.5 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 48673 bps, or 47 kbps.

Look at http://www.broadbandreports.com/archive/co.za?s=180&r=769 for results from .co.za domains and Iburst results are some of the worst.

Well, everything seems to be fixed now. IRC and MSN have no problems, so far.
