I wonder if any one else might have been receiving errors whilst setting up Outlook 2010 64bit with Outlook hotmail connerctor 64bit. Receiving errors such as 0x80048265 and 0x8004010F. Tried the google route without any success and all assistance will be appreciated thanks.

Check your "Sync Issues" folder in Outlook.
You'll find detailed information about what caused the errors.

& make sure you're using the very latest version of the Hotmail connector.
64 bit connector is here -> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=21305

My sync errors were all related to me having more than 1000 characters in some of my contact text fields.
I sync almost 400Megs between my Hotmail account & Outlook 2010 64 (on one machine) and Outlook 2010 32 (on another machine).

Why do you use an Outlook connector for Hotmail? It's horrible and slow to use.

There are POP and IMAP settings for Hotmail available, Google is your friend.

Thanks but "Ms MyPhone" service for WM6.5 is closing on 7 Aug 2011 and moving all data to Ms Skydrive (25GB Storage) which requires a Win Live ID, not wishing to lose the comprehesive back of Ms Outlook Contacts,Calender,Tasks and Notes etc. Hence the use of Hotmail and Win Live ID to sync all the Ms Outlook data( Ms Outlook Contacts,Calender,Tasks and Notes) as backup and to restore from via ActiveSync Exchange on the Phone. Apparrently Win Phone 7 resolved this one I believe. Kingrob perhaps you could suggest some work around.

It's the same with Android phones. You need a GMail account and then you can select to sync your contacts, calendar, notes, etc.

Not much to it, you must just enable the sync account on your phone, Google does the rest. I'm sure Microsoft can also do it like that?

Inside Outlook you have a folder (underneath RSS Feeds & Search Folders), called "Sync Issues".
Inside the "Sync Issues" folder Outlook lists every error generated during a sync and the associated email message in a sub folder called "Local Failures".

I sync my Android phone with Outlook 2010 over USB & wireless (have not tested bluetooth yet but sure it would work).

a) Root the phone with "SuperOneClick"
b) Sync whatever you like (contacts, SMS's, files, photos etc) with "MyPhoneExplorer".
