Outlook 2013 stuck read receipt

A client of mine has a stuck read receipt, outlooks shows sending 1 out of 3 messages but no email's in outbox and it keeps failing to send them. But sending a normal email works fine. Any idea how to delete them so outlook does not try to send them anymore ? Anybody else got stuck with this problem?

I don't think it happens with OSTs, and the read receipt gets stuck in the PST on the machine so webmail won't help you.

Well if it happens in the PST, why not just create a new PST and move all emails over, has to faster than that heck of a solution you posted :D
How did you know the OP uses a PST?, its very unlikely they use a PST to deliver emails, 99% of the times they should use a OST, unless the "cache exchange" mode was not selected, in which case the emails will only be on the actual mailbox on the exchange (mail store), and then i would not know what to do (if deleting the mails via webmail did not work)
