What incoming mail server do you use? Outgoing should be smtp.saix.net (better than the telkomsa one) and incoming should be pop3.telkomsa.net .
Are you by any chance using a prepaid data voucher from axxess for example?
I thought it was either that or a problem with the baarnakle cog. Those things play up all the time.
