For NVIDIA cards - grab a copy of nTune and work from there.
The RAM should work with your FSB, if your motherboard supports unlinked mode then you can overclock it independently![]()
There is also ATI tool
As a Rule of thumb. Always. Increase your core/clock speeds by about 5-10Mhz run a test/benchmark if all is okay push it up more.
Watch your temps aswell not very nice to get a good OC' but only to find that the card runs too hot![]()

i would not use ntune to be honest
go and download rivatuner
x2 AtiTool doesn't work with the newer nVidia drivers anymore and nTune can't do everything RivaTuner can.
