Overclocking Help

Ok, so I have overclocked my Processor(thank you beanie), but now want to do my Graphics card and RAM if it's possible?

Can anyone help as I find reading guides all very confusing!

OK go to google and search for overclocking utilz for your card or manufacturer , these appz are usually very basic and user friendly. You can also go to Nvidia/ATI's sites and see what they have but I don't think they are gonna have anything. And I don't know about your RAM but I think you will find something on Google.

For NVIDIA cards - grab a copy of nTune and work from there.

The RAM should work with your FSB, if your motherboard supports unlinked mode then you can overclock it independently

There is also ATI tool
As a Rule of thumb. Always. Increase your core/clock speeds by about 5-10Mhz run a test/benchmark if all is okay push it up more.
Watch your temps aswell not very nice to get a good OC' but only to find that the card runs too hot

True, though I like nTune because of the NVIDIA Monitor

hmmm... can I ask why you overclocking and what your systems specs are?
I personally gave up on over clocking after frying gpu and ram (the most frustrating experience coz I thought my ram went, but then when I got new ram, I realised my gpu was broken as well. )

but still. pooky, rather take things very slowly, I mean, I can only hope you are overclocking because you want to run a game or something. but if anything, don't push if you not 100% sure that your system will handle it.

What's good for a benchmark?

Just run some games or 3D mark, but you can also try this, openGL benchmarks

x2 AtiTool doesn't work with the newer nVidia drivers anymore and nTune can't do everything RivaTuner can.

Go to www.guru3d.com, the forums there are filled with many overclockers guides and the home of RivaTuner.
