TyTN. You won't make a mistake. Windows Mobile phones has got plenty more possibilities than any other OS phones.

If you need one hand operational phone then you should go for the P990. If you don't mind using two hands then the TyTN is your choice of phone.:D ;)

TyTn can be used with one hand. Granted, the P990 has easier one-handed use, but you can't go wrong with the TyTn. Windows Mobile 5 can't be beaten if you need true PDA functionality in your phone.

The most useful comment I've seen is "think about what you are going to do with it". The TyTn has brilliant specs, esp the HSDPA, but if you need to talk on the phone a lot the battery life is not great from what I hear. On the other hand, it has great PDA functions.

Both phones seem to have zealous supporters on the forum, which also helps. Horses for courses...

Did you get the answer you were looking for???

The TyTN is far more better than the P990:D ;)

Not really,

I currently own a p910 and the phone side is brilliant. Never have a problem with reception while my wife have tried several phones and all have not so good reception.

I like the HSDPA side of the TyTN.

At this stage the phone side is slightly pulling me to the p990.

It really depends what you want to use the phone for, I use my phone (P990i)for work & play. :)

So yes, I would like a very good camera on my phone (a camera designed by a company that, well, makes cameras!). Yes, I love to listen to the RDS radio when I'm waiting for clients at a restaurant. Yes, I love the high quality MP3 player and the 8GB memory stick that the P990i supports. Etc, etc.

Oh, and let's face it, when you're at a restaurant with friends, any Windows PDA on the table just looks out of place - more like you can't let go of the office, but I suppose if you're over 40, you won't look UNCOOL....

End of discussion - P990i all the way. :)

TyTn! :p

Bit peeved of at NashuaMobile. They want R995 for my upgrade ont my Procall 120 while the MTN shop down the road only want R600 for the upgrade or new contract for the P990i. The TyTn is still a bit expensive.

Guess I will have to wait until Feb and then kiss Nashua goodbuy and port to the MTN SP.

Maybe the TyTN will then be cheaper as well:sick:

Well its very interesting to see how many users love both phones. from my point of view. . .... . . P990 all the way. why you may ask? because i had an I-Mate K-Jam. and i loved windows mobile. no lie. but try dialing a number. EISH!!!!!!!! i hated it. but to have a sony again feels good. I waited so long for the P990 and when i finally got it i was (as were most of the people waiting for the P990) just as happy. but like the say. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. as a Vodacom Dealer i have to show all the features of the phones to my clients. it always depends on what features suit you. so for some will be the P990 and some the Tytn. :D
