It's idiots like these that a paintball gun is going to be included into the dangerous weapons act. :mad::mad::mad:

Yeah, I agree. The mother's comments makes it sound like she is connected and that the newspaper might actually care if she cancels her subscription.

They obviously thought they were above the law and got brought down to earth. I hope they get charged with assault on a police officer or something.

Also way to go Mom - no wonder your kids did something stupid like this, you cover for them whenever they get in trouble. Make them face the music - they are adults and need to learn to fit into the adult world.

The brats may have licences, but racing around recklessly and shooting paintballs at cars seems to be brat-like behaviour.
 
I agree, charge them, lock them up, throw the book at them but if they are adults why charge the parents?

The paint will wash off easily. For dents to appear it depends on how far these guys were from the car, where they shot and the bullets of course. I'd say further than 5m there is hardly a chance that they made a dent.

i hope someone from the newspaper comments on her remarks about canceling her subscription. something to the effect that they don't support stupid behaviour of sorts.

If you're driving home with your wife and kid and suddenly someone points what seems to be a weapon at you and you hear the thudding of projectiles hitting your vehicle, would there be any damage?
 
These idiots need to be taught a lesson, as they endangered the family in the car as well as themselves.

With the number of realistic paintball guns out there today you should not go waving them around in public, as that is looking for trouble

What if the driver of the car had taken evasive action when he heard the shots and impacts, he could have had or caused an accident.

As for the kids in the car they risked been shot at by police especially since it sounds like they tried to evade arrest.

As for Albreths statement, what do you do if you see a person holding what appears to be a firearm aiming at another person, as a police officer you should shout a warning to drop the gun, but if that gun turns in your direction then you can shoot if you feel your life is in imminent danger

As for the kids, from what I read they can be charged with
Pointing of a firearm
Malicious damage to property
Reckless and negligent driving

As for the mother, her reaction is actually quite common when they know their child was in the wrong
