If you're driving home with your wife and kid and suddenly someone points what seems to be a weapon at you and you hear the thudding of projectiles hitting your vehicle, would there be any damage?

100% correct! Whilst the reasons for shooting at someone with paintballs may be innucuous (seemingly harmless), it's quite possible that the targets are traumatized and what would be a joke to some, could be much more upsetting to others. Besides, as stated, shooting at a moving vehicle and possibly causing a serious accident is no joke.

Then also take into account the damage cause by the father to his own family, being trapped in a car racing off after another and cornering the other driver. If you really want to bring in mental damage then this father should be criticized for endangering his own family by following an armed vehicle.

Just to make my stance clear, I think the headline is actually a joke it should read "paintball attack" and not "paintball prank". This was no prank this was outright assault. These two should be made to serve community service in a morgue.

I dont know why he chased them, Id put it down to a pissed off, heat of the moment sort of act

I agree on the community service part but I would change it to the Forensic Pathology unit who actually go out and collect the bodies.
