Paladins are insane

I've always thought a pally was incredibly strong while leveling (things change somewhat @ 80 these days), specially with BOA's.

But I just got to 44 and now I have all the tools I owned people with 2 levels before but I just got The Art of War (2) , which gives me an instant 800dmg Exorcism & an instant finishing off spell (usable when ppl have less than 20% hp), Hammer of Wrath, and it hits for 1100 dmg here.

Its a joke atm :)

Ret is squishy, period, keep forgetting that as normally I am tanking, so on the few occasions I am in ret spec, normally I am on the floor :P I also run bg's as prot, get your back in a corner with a good healer and yes, everything will eventually die, not sure if it's boredom or attrition but they die.

I agree fully.

Retri Pala's are as squishy as tree's (Only difference is, Tree's can out heal the damage received)

Protection Pala's on the otherhand is unstopable. Avoidance Pala's can't even be hit directly and if you land a hit it's blocked (Very little damage dealt):D The only reason Retri Pala's are feard in BG's is because of the lack of knowledge on how the class works. He can only bubble once every 3 minutes and use LoH once every 10 (not sure)

People then avoid them based on their rep. Leaving them to take the place appart.

Just nuke the pala, if he does bubble and kill you the next person will kill him ;) Just focus on them like you would on a Twink in any BG and they become worthless...

But Protection tanks, it takes 5 players 10 minutes just to get his HP low enough for him to bubble and heal full. Then another 10 minutes to force him to put LoH. But Protection Pala's don't do much damage so you can leave them to run around the BG without being a pain in the arse :D

Haha. You guys that have palas, should try to get the full pvp healing set, then if you retri add any 2H or if Prot any dps 1H+shield. That is some real fun in pvp.

Retri with 2H and pvp healing set = have enough mana all the time, good luck to try and mana burn them, mana regen real fast and they can heal decently and still hit like a truck when they judge or do spell dmg.

As tank spec, ok you lose a bit of survivability, but gem up on stamina in the pvp healing set and you have amazing +spell power but this time you have loads more survivability.

Just some fun tricks to try and confuse the hell out of people in BGs, in arena people already know these tricks and how to deal with them.

hehe ye that sounds fun and I have some friends who play that way.

Anyway imo, @ 80 a pally, specially retri, just don't have much of a chance against a skilled Lock, Hunter or Mage.

I say that cause I pvp on my mage, 1 friend on his pally, and other 2 on their lock & hunter. We dual allot and I feel for the pally

I think warlocks and a stupid class, but thats just my opinion :)

People who think paladins aren't OP have never seen a prot PvP paladin rolling in ret gear. Hai I have 2 Interrupts, a silence, stun, 3 "Oh **** buttons" and I will global a fully PvP geared person. Also to add insult to injury the spec basically uses 3 buttons to kill things.

Things have come along way since retlol and seal of casino.

EDIT

Can't blame warlocks for their current burst situation it's all they have PvP wise. Affliction only works with WDL and even then the warrior and druid could easily faceroll a lot easier by just getting a paladin and playing double healer, warrior. The burst qq will die next season with the Conflag nerf, LB set bonus nerf and boosted HP pools all around.

This weekend, I killed about 10 horde players trying to get into IF, Stormwind and Darnassus.

4 where rogues,
2 hunters
3 paladins
1 warrior

2 paladins escaped because they just kept running, heal etc., I lost interest.
1 priest killed me.

All 3 paladins where a 1 v 1 fight. The rogues, i got while they where on sprint running from other alliance or guards on about 40% hp. A chaos bolt up the rear was enough to dispatch them. :D

The best was on the boat from Auberdine to Darnassus. 3 Alliance got on with about 9 horde, who where all pvp flagged. We danced, hugged on the boat etc. As soon as we got to Darnassus they ran in and inevitable they thinned out and I picked off a warrior and rogue, before killing the rest in general mayhem as they ran through Darnassus. Wicked :D

Wish i could global something.

Anyone else think it's a bit stupid that a class wearing plate, heals, 2 reset buttons, stuns and interrupts also gets to burst guys down faster than a pvp specced clothy dps?

Ah well. Simplest answer I've found is to not PVP. Either you roll FOTM or stick to PVE.

Or re-roll a Paladin.

They are a trully Epic class ;)

They should have left out the DK and just introduced a Paladin in WoTLK not in Classic or TBC :)

DK's ****ed up wotlk IMO. ****ed up S5 and were way too OP and I'm pretty sure Blizzard spent way too much time fixing them which is why we got such a sub-standard expansion.
