Hey guys,
Just got a new place and it has a Paradox Evo system installed.
I have an Olarm on it but am anti-subscription (especially coming from IDS/HYYP myself where its 'free').

Does Paradox Insight / the IP150 route have a subscription model or is it free like IDS/HYYP?
I see there is an integration method through HA as well which I assume uses the IP150?

I guess what I am asking ultimately is, are there any free options to remotely check and control my alarm through my iPhone? (Notifications would be great too)

Was it you that posted on the HA FB group today?

That's not exactly a user friendly solution 🫣

Unless somebody has some experience tinkering with micro-electronics I doubt this is a good solution.
The OP mentions HA, so that means, he already has some skills in setting up HA.

The ESP32 part is by far the easiest part of the problem, since the code is all written, you go buy some components and flash the firmware. If you can't solder you can use dupont wires to wire everything up.

"free" solutions usually come with a cost - i.e. your own time, in setting everything up

To add to the above. If you go with the ESP32 + PAI option, you could likely get Telegram / Telegram Bot to do app part you require

I have the IP150 and use it with PAI in Home Assistant. If I had to do it over I'd go the ESP32 route. The IP150 more than doubled in price compared to when I got it a few years ago.

Thanks for everyone’s responses! This should put me on the right track!
If I have any questions, I’ll update here…
