But she's still moving on to the SF. You never know, the other rowers could all have a bad day haha
Vegetable soup?
Sorry my bad, I checked the wrong screen. She's moving on to the C/D semi final for places 13-20something.Oh did she? Ah, I must have misunderstood the qualifying criteria. Well good. Hopefully it was just a case of doing the minimum to get through and conserve energy.
Sadly it looks like Matthew Sates missed 200m butterfly qualification.
At Supersport/olympics/video they have highlings of just about everything important, noy only SA athletes. Also medal ceremonies etc. It is constantly uploaded within an hour mostly. For those who missed or where unable to watch Tatjana's gold in woman's 100m breaststroke final >
I should have qualified my post as well with those who do not have paid access...At Supersport/olympics/video they have highlings of just about everything important, noy only SA athletes. Also medal ceremonies etc. It is constantly uploaded within an hour mostly.

Well that link I posted you don't need paid access. Its just highlights and I don't have paid access, or at least not to DSTV/supersport.I should have qualified my post as well with those who do not have paid access...
P.S sabcsport.com also covered it live and has quite a bit of coverage of SA participation events as well. e.g the hockey is on SA vs Germany as I type...
Surely they can't just change tri- to biathlon? It completely changes the nature of the sport. Can't just pack up and move an entire triathlon event to another part of the city. They have to close down entire parts of the city for the running and cycling parts. Would be a nightmare.
If the water quality doesn't improve the triathlon will be turned into a duathlon without the swimming. Marathon swimming which is also supposed to be in the Seine will then be moved to the rowing venue.
I agree but that's apparently what the plans are if the water can't be fixed. 2 running sections and 1 cycling.Surely they can't just change tri- to biathlon? It completely changes the nature of the sport.

Ridiculous. It's not like the organisers haven't been warned about this for almost a decade, yet they chose the pigheaded approach.I agree but that's apparently what the plans are if the water can't be fixed. 2 running sections and 1 cycling.

It completely changes the event. Very unfair to the athletes.
Reminds of me of this year's SA Lifesaving champs. Held in Durban. Everyone that is everyone complained and warned them, yet they forged ahead, and the ocean events had to be canceled due to water quality issues.
So what you're saying is, business is business? The French are pigheaded. But what would you do if a Cape Town Olympics was under threat 'cos of a shark scare Atlantic-side, send everyone off to Muizenberg? No, you'd let a few sharks get their meal and save the rest.
