Triple jump, I really don't get it.

Long jump is good for leaping across crevices.

High jump for getting over fences, high jump for walls.

What can you do with triple jump?

I'm with you on this. Of all the track and field events - wtf is this?

Who decided one day "ok guys, ima take a run up, jump two..no.. three times, destroy my knees and then see where I land...we measure with a tape!"

"But isn't that just long jump but with big steps?"

Considering it has been in the Olympics for well over a century, it has more place as a discipline than a lot of other events, imo.

Not calling for it to be removed, just a weird sport, but the more the merrier I say. I draw the ****ing line at Darts though. Take that **** to a pub.

It's not a sport.
 
They commentators keep polishing Lyles when it was obvious from the heats that Tebogo of Botswana is the faster runner over 200

Agreed still think he could have had a shot at the 400m.. Rumours are athletics sa forced him to run 200 if he wanted to be considered for the 4 x 100 relay which is now a doubt anyway

Was the radio station ever mentioned who did that event. I agree ever since that incident he has dropped so far from a world record breaking athlete to nothing almost
