Knowing I'm a bit of a gadget-slut, my better-half got me one of these for Xmas and must say, it's one of the cooler toys to play with

Parrot's own intention is to turn this into a "live TV game", with a mixture of virtual activities (like shooting a laser at your opponent) superimposed on the live action (flying the AR Drone).

Basically you fly the device against an opponent and the software superimposes you shooting at each other!

But the real exciting bit is that the AR Drone is more of a development platform, so expect to see some cool apps coming out for it. There are already Linux apps out for it, so even non-Apple believers can get in on the fun.

an entry level remote controlled chopper goes for R1000, buy a cheap SoC for R300 and a camera sensor and a small wifi radio you could ....

Or just buy this for R3k and get laid.

On a serious note. another Con is that there is no Android controller app (yet)
