Parrot AR.Drone

I think the 90 minute wait period in-between dog-fights wil get old quick. The only sane solution is to have 7.5 of these in a last-in-first-out charging queue to enable constant in the air action.

Of course, your dog-fighting partners would need 7.5 also...

Or you could just get extra batteries

I soooo would rather buy something else XD

Besides, you can get MUCH better flying toys (choppers, planes) from Hobby shops, and they come with better controllers (actual controllers, and not a iphone made into a remote) with MUCH longer battery life and cost just a fraction of the price.

Yes, but does the controllers have screens and the flying toys mounted cameras? I'm sure you will have to pay a lot more to get the same in hobby shop toys.
I think the fact the you control it with the iPhone / iPad is half the fun.

This looks like allot of fun. I personally wouldnt buy one but I would fool around on sum1 else's.
Volunteers? *Cough*

it't on the market....you see apple what happens you open up your platform :)

Anybody know what range of flight is i.e. how far from the iPhone can it fly before losing signal ?

Been dying to get my hands on one of these.... Just hope my savings are not squandered on Some other gadgets while I save up.....

Looks like a nice toy, but too much charging time for the 12 mins flying time. Even so, I wouldn't mind one!

Cute.
Wouldn't spend that amount of money on a 12 minute toy just yet though.

First I need to activate my masterplan of hostile takeover on Microsoft...

Cheaper alternatives? If I had the money I would buy this, but then it will just gather dust as I don't own a Apple iANything... Too expensive.
