Apps to avoid endless password resets

South African online users will find many apps available to help them store and retrieve large collections of passwords for their apps and website accounts.

Security researchers have long emphasised the importance of using unique, long, and complex passwords with multiple types of characters to minimise the risk of an attacker cracking them.

NordPass was a no brainer. Got a VPN included which turned out to be like $2/month extra.

what, no Lastpass?

also that hivesystems table looks suspect ... what happened to:

EDIT: ah
One of the popular providers we have excluded from this list is LastPass.

The company suffered two data breaches in 2022, highlighting concerns over its security practices.

I know the industry standard says don't roll your own, but if you're a dev worth your salt then rolling your own password manager is a no brainer and absolutely worth it. Very little risk of being a target for a breach.

No thanx
I write everything down in my black book
Well the cover is grey technically
Hand written passwords in it since the 90s

Apple Keychain. It's free and works on Mac + Windows.

And now with Family Sharing coming in iOS17/iPadOS/Sonoma it hopefully means we'll see Enterprise Folder Sharing soon too with Managed Apple ID's and no longer need any third party tools.
