Just install the Linux Pervasive version instead.

Isn't the server part of Pastel just the database server?
Last time I checked, Pervasive had usage specific licensing (or whatever it's called) for Pervasive on Windows, but only full licenses for Linux. So the difference in licensing made it stupidly expensive (at lease for the SMEs I was working with).
