Now today I had a wee bit of a problem. New pc's running Express2007 with Windows7 and Outlook2010. Now I know Pervasive 8.6 isn't compatible with Windows7 but 9.6 is. Everything is working fine, BUT, when processing a customer invoice and emailing it, Outlook asks for permission (as usual), then throws an error (something about cannot send email) on two of the computers, but the third client works perfectly! Note that the one that works is a client, the "pastel server" and other client cannot send via email. I've told them they need to upgrade and sold it to the customer. But I'd like to figure out why this happens!

Anyone else had similar problems? Any ideas?

"Also worth noting, that these are all brand new computers, set up one at a time all in the same procedure."

Thanks.

Check the settings of the Pastel client and server....I'm sure you can configure the email somewhere in Pastel.

Problem solved today. Figured out the one computer that was working had Payroll 2010 loaded. Installed payroll on the subsequent pc's (regardless if they don't use it) and bob's your uncle!

That's a cool solution.....now anyone can open Payroll to check what everyone in the company earns. :p

well obviously the company's are password protected, besides, they have a multi-user license. :P
