Cry....WOW keeps on telling me that "Data for next patch is availible" when I start..
I downloaded both files as per the link provided in this post.
Copied them to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft and also normal WOW folder.
Tried to run BackgroundDownloader as Administrator etc with no luck..just keeps on telling me that data is availible and WOW does not patch.
BTW..I am do have the latest BackgroundDownloader installed and also the 4.1GB odd patch(2 files). I am using Win 7 64Bit
Anybody else experience this issue?

If your on US it's because servers are down due to roll out of next patch :)
 
I also downloaded the linked patches but when I start up wow it tells me its checking stage 2 now what worries me is it using my cap doing that?
 
No, its checking the file is not corrupt, exactly the same uTorrent would be doing before it starts seeding. Its perfectly fine, will take anything between 10-40minutes.

After you downloaded the files,to which directory did you copy the files to?
The normal WOW folder or the so called "update" folder?
 
Got it sorted. The backgrounddownload Torrent file in my Cache folder appear to have been corrupt.
When I deleted this file and restarted WOW, it checked the files and all seem to be fine now.
 
almost done downloading the patch now all I have to do is wait for the e-mail from Boomrooker : "Dude I need the Patch" :whistle:
 
I copied to update file, and after letting it run to *check* being very nervous as I only had 1.7 gigs left on my cap it seems like it never used any as I am still online :D

I know it sometimes takes a while for the bandwith to be allocated to the freezone part, sometimes after your session ends(disconnects). I downloaded it on Teusday evening and freezone show 4.7 gig downloaded.

Yeah try a reconnect and if it still doesn't show up on FreeZone after a while I would highly suggest making a support ticket to WA, as those links are indeed inside FreeZone.
 
part 3 downloading this morning :( (dam my capped account)
 
Got an email from BT to say that I have used 7g of my 10g allowance and if I exceeded it then I would be charged £1 for every 1g I exceed my allowance. Then I get an email from Blizzard saying that the Cataclysm beta will enabled on my battlenet account in the next 24hrs when I will be able to download it.... So beta is going to cost me a £ or 2... At least they don't cut you off or throttle your bandwidth in the UK

You do realize that is a phishing email right? The last round of beta invites happened months ago.

No it isnt. I know how to tell whether an email is legit or not.

Logged into my battlenet account and the beta installer iis indeed available for download.
